Rhiannon - Horse Goddess of Strength and Beauty
Rhiannon is the otherworldly woman whom Pwyll marries in the first branch of the Mabinogi. Her story is full of horse symbolism and she is considered a Goddess of sovereignty, love, strength and beauty. She rides on a horse on which she cannot be caught, and later is made to act as a horse, carrying visitors to the court on her back as an unjust punishment for a crime she did not commit.
This piece is made with smoky quartz and kunzite. It features two rearing horses and a triple spiral design. Smoky quartz is a stone of transformation, strength, grounded truth, patience and practicality. Kunzite is a stone of love, beauty, compassion and the heart. Together, they speak of the transformation and love found in the story of Rhiannon, and the lessons we can discover on its reflection.
