Pwyll - King of Dyfed

Pwyll is the King of Dyfed who exchanges roles with Arawn, King of the Otherworld. He resists great temptations and fulfils his duties with great will power, honour and courage. His story is one of mindful self-awareness, trust, valour and choosing to do the right and honourable thing, even when it is easy or even desirable not to. This piece is made with howlite, lapis lazuli and garnet. It features a double spiral representing the meeting of two worlds. Howlite is a stone that helps us to calm our emotions and still a busy mind. It can bring us back to stillness and peace within. Lapis lazuli is a stone of wisdom, insight and inspiration. It helps us to think before we act, and to act with honour and truth. Garnet is a stone of inner strength, the still centre within, presence and groundedness.
