Strength of the Ages

This piece is made with Orthoceras fossil, hematite and garnet. Fossils help us connect with the vastness of time that the Earth has experienced. Orthoceras fossils are the remnants of creatures that lived in the Palaeozoic era around 450 million years ago. They invite us to imagine the Earth in its earlier forms, and what kind of beings our ancestors might have been at that time. Hematite is a stone of presence, grounding and cleansing. Garnet is a stone of inner strength, determination and good health. Together these stones and this fossil remind us of the strength of life to continue, to adapt and to survive – the strength of the ages past, brought into the present.
