Fehu-Freya-Freyr

Fehu-Freya-Freyr

These necklaces are made with green aventurine and feature the F rune, called FEHU, or FEOH. This run is the first of the runic alphabets of Norse and Germanic cultures. Each rune also has a magical meaning or secret. Fehu stands for cattle in a literal sense, but it also related to the wealth and abundance of the Earth, that must be kept in balance through our tending and caring for the planet. It is not about greed for the Earth’s resources, but the tending and care in relationship with the Earth that creates abundance and health for all beings. Freya (the Lady), and Freyr (the Lord) have names which begin with this F rune. They are deities of the Earth’s bounty and fertility. They are the Earth itself, the rain, and are also associated with the many nature spirits and ancestors of the land, known as elves in the Norse and Germanic traditions. Green aventurine complements this rune. It is a stone of nature connection, peace, meditation and abundance. A great piece for those learning about Rune magic, the Norse and Germanic traditions, Freya and Freyr, and the magic of nature.
