This piece is made with selenite and rainbow moonstone. It features the face of a wise mother and crone Goddess. Cerridwen, Goddess of the cauldron of Awen and inspiration, is sometimes associated with the crescent moon – it is possible her name might mean ‘bent/crooked one’ in reference to the crescent moon. Perhaps the curved shape of the moon resembles the sickle which is used to pick the herbs for the cauldron’s brew? Moon magic is also associated with herb magic, finding the right times to pick and use herbs for magic. Selenite and rainbow moonstone both connect us with the energy of the moon and her cycles, feeling intuitively into the energy of the phases and their affect on the world around us. A lovely combination for exploring the mysteries of Cerridwen and Moon magic.
